About Us
The Creative Constructs team of talented developers and network administrators are lead by brothers David Oppenheim and Daniel Fried.
Daniel Fried's exceptional talent in application development is only surpassed by his experience. He has been working in technology development since before most of us were even aware that there was a World Wide Web. As a political science major at the University of California Santa Cruz in the late 80's and early 90's, Fried soon found himself immersed in emerging technology developing an on-line multi-user game. Soon after leaving college, Fried found himself at Great Wave Software, an educational software developer, where he quickly climbed the ranks to project lead and senior developer. After several years creating such award winning CD Rom titles as ReadingMansion, Number Maze Challenge and World Discovery Deluxe, Fried was lured away to the East Coast to lead a team at the renowned children's educational publisher Scholastic. During his tenure at Scholastic's Educational Technology Group as Lead Software Developer/Architect Fried became frustrated with the technology development companies with which he was interacting. They were simply not responsive to the specific and unique needs of his department. For Dan, Creative Constructs is a dream realized: a high-end development and network technology company which focuses on the individual needs of the client.
David Oppenheim comes to the table with a variety of skills and experience that make him uniquely qualified for handling both the creative and technical challenges that arise in the structuring and development of your Web presence. Oppenheim's background is in both the arts as well as computer technology. In 1993, Oppenheim began his career in the internet when he founded his first company, ArtNet - The International Registry for the Arts. Oppenheim launched himself into the world of database design and web-development and throughout the mid to late 90's worked for three companies in various positions. First as developer and designer with SkyWorld Interactive and then as lead developer and architect with BrainDock.com. Within a short time, Oppenheim was promoted to the position of vice president with BrainDock. He enjoyed success in building e-commerce solutions for notable business partners such as Dixons and Psion (both UK corporations). Oppenheim was subsequently recruited to work for Barclays Capital as Manager and Lead Developer in the e-commerce department. In addition to his technical background, Oppenheim has written numerous theatrical works, several of which have received live productions in both the United States and Sweden. Along with his wife, Oppenheim also founded the Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton (P.A.C.E.) in the fall of 2002.
